Bruno Sanfilippo

A pianist, composer and producer based in Barcelona, Bruno Sanfilippo began playing as a child on the Pleyel upright piano in his family home in Buenos Aires. His classical training meets electronics and a personal inquiry into timbre, pauses and depth. The *Piano Textures* series, begun in 2007, is among the most representative threads in his catalogue; through Onix he explores the meeting of electronic environments and intimate orchestration. In 1998 he launched ad21, an independent label and platform that has released much of his work. One of his compositions formed the basis of Drake’s *Started From The Bottom*, bringing his piano into an unexpected dialogue with international pop culture.
