SUSS
The cinematic horizon of ambient country
Where the American landscape meets ambient music.

EDITORIAL PERSPECTIVE
Where the American landscape meets ambient music.
Formed in New York City in 2016, SUSS shaped an ambient country language in which pedal steel, guitars, harmonica, mandolin, keyboards, synthesizers and loops stretch American tradition into a cinematic landscape. The group—now Bob Holmes, Pat Irwin and Jonathan Gregg—continues a journey begun with Gary Leib and William Garrett: from Ghost Box and High Line to Birds & Beasts and Counting Sunsets, the music unfolds through horizons, resonance and silence.
